The LagosPhoto Symposium, entitled Interventions: Engaging Criticality through Photographic Practice, includes a series of panel discussions with participating photographers concerning the thematic threads of the festival and how photography can be used as a critical tool in negotiating the politics of representation. As part of the LagosPhoto Symposium, this panel discussion examines how artists use the body as catalyst to question the shifting terrain of identity, with particular attention to photography’s role in defining this line between reality and fiction. Panelists include photographers Abraham Oghobase, Karl Ohiri, Riikka Kassinen, and Jenevieve Aken.
