"Staging Reality, Documenting Fiction"

"Staging Reality, Documenting Fiction" explores how we can toe the line between photography and truth through conceptual practices and performative strategies that expand traditional photographic approaches and techniques as a catalyst to explore the changing realities of Africa.

You will learn how to:

Develop ideas and concepts
Get started with your project
Implement your concept
Tell a story
Edit and sequence
Present your work and promote your project
Work on an exhibition

The class offers:

Lectures on the contemporary world of photography
Individual portfolio reviews
Open discussions and critiques
Supervision of a project
A talk by a professional photographer, Abraham Oghobase
Advanced photographic techniques

Time: 10am to 4pm

Location: African Artists\' Foundation, 54 Raymond Njoku Street, Off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos

Course Fee: 12,000 Naira
